No, this is not the post with the promised recipes. I will get to that one next, I swear. But just look at these! They could not be any prettier, could they? Ranunculus. What an odd-sounding name for such a gorgeous flower. Irresistible to me from Harvest Moon Flowers at our Indy Winter Farmer’s Market.

I also bought bread for Larry, from Brotgarten, of course:
Yay for the first spring veggies!:
Lots of greens, from different vendors. Red and green lettuce from Good Life Farms, watercress and bok choy:

And edible pansies (with one lone nasturtium) from Havest Moon Flowers- I’m going to freeze these pretty little things in ice cubes and float them in lemonade on Easter.
Breakfast was amazing! A bowl of quinoa with almonds, walnuts, blueberries, bananas, honey, and bee pollen, from the vendor Keen-wah. Yogurt or milk was offered with it, but it was delicious without it. Filling and nutritious!
I love my Saturday market mornings!!
I love your saturday market trips too!!
Great post, it really is one of the best markets around! Glad you got to make it down there, its a MUST stop every Saturday morning and the vendors in the opposite wing whom are open in the morning are even a must see
It is indeed a can’t-miss stop! and I agree completely about the other wing- full of great things to eat!
